Sponsor a child
Please support Challenging Heights’ work by sponsoring a child.
• Sponsoring a child education typically costs $20 a month, but you can choose to select any amount over or under that.
As a sponsor, you may choose to receive regular updates about our work in the community where the child you sponsor lives. You can also enjoy a unique cultural exchange by writing and receiving letters. We encourage sponsors to send messages, and even to visit, if they are able.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I sponsor a child?
Sponsoring a child through Challenging Heights is easy. For more information please kindly send email to sponsor@challengingheights.org
What is the cost of sponsoring a child?
It costs an average of $US20 per month to sponsor a child but you can select any amount above that. You can also pay the total child sponsorship one off annually.
Can I choose the child I sponsor?
The decision to sponsor a child is based on the needs of the child.  Therefore, Challenging Heights does not provide photos and profiles on children prior to your decision.  All the children we identify for sponsorship could fall into one of these categories: survivors of trafficking, child labour, the worst forms of child labour or children who are at risk and vulnerable.
Can I sponsor more than one child?
Yes, you can sponsor more than one child.
How does the process work?
Once you commit to sponsoring a child you may send an email to sponsor@challengingheights.org and then you may begin your Sponsorship.

How will I benefit?
Throughout our partnership, we will provide you with regular updates on our work.  You will also have the opportunity to correspond with the child you sponsor by sending and receiving letters and photos.
Can I visit the child?
Challenging Heights would love to help facilitate a visit to the child’s community and give you a chance to see our work first hand.  For child protection reasons, communication and visits will all be coordinated by us and cannot be undertaken independently.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes, you can.  If you wish to sponsor a child without any communication between yourself and us, this is possible.
How will the sponsored child benefit from the money I provide?
All our children have differing needs and your donation will be used accordingly.  Your contribution will pay for the child’s annual school fees.  It may also pay for education materials, such as uniforms, the materials they need for school, sports and recreation.  The contribution may also be put towards any counseling or rehabilitation the child may need, and any other coordinated activities that will enhance the child's education.
How are children selected for sponsorship?
Challenging Heights has identified and helped many children who have been rescued from child labour, worst forms of child labour or are at risk of child labour. Challenging Heights has also identified families and communities where children are at risk and vulnerable due to poverty and other factors. From these groups, Challenging Heights identifies which children will be eligible for sponsorship.  The individual children are chosen in discussion with the child, the family, the community and the field project officers of Challenging Heights.
How long will my sponsorship last?
We want to form a lasting partnership with you and your sponsorship can last for as long as you wish or as long as the child is in school.
While you can choose to end your partnership with us at any time, we ask that you make an initial commitment of at least a year’s sponsorship to provide continuity in the child’s education.
What are my payment options?
It is simple to sponsor a child through Challenging Heights using credit card, debit card, pay pal or check. You may choose to either pay monthly or once a year. For more information please kindly send email to sponsor@challengingheights.
